BENTO MIGUEL FRONT VIEW

A landmark building in Panjim

Categorized as a Heritage City and known for its Indo-Portuguese cultural heritage, the city of Panjim has a number of heritage structures, buildings, monuments, and sites of significant importance. The influence that the Portuguese had on the culture and the architecture of Goa is quite evident from these structures and buildings. The Bento Minguel is carefully crafted and meticulously designed to reflect the same. German architect Robert Patzschke has thoughtfully incorporated four key elements which are the existing streetscape, use of traditional Goan architectural language, roof formation and pattern and covered walkways to give the structure an ultra-modern yet traditional look.
