Solaris presents itself to the hill, to the street and to the development with a bold and confident elegance; one that is achieved through a sophisticated response to place, climate and culture. It is not only a refreshingly contemporary version of the traditional Goan mansion but a strong and potent anti-thesis to what is often referred to as Indo-Portuguese style.

The south facade of Solaris is a carefully measured response to the hill. Through a series of layers and design elements a complex language, a sort of Goa Modern, is achieved. White walls, color washed ‘set-in’ planes, local laterite stone, wood frame and tile are the vocabulary for this language. Courtyards, lattice screens and the ubiquitous sloped roofs complete the picture.
